Supply List for Rising Second Graders

It's never too early to prepare for the next school year. Here's a list of supplies for next year's second graders:

Meredith 2nd grade supply list
Mrs. Palumbo and Mrs. Kuney

• 24 sharpened pencils
• 1 pencil sharpener
• 24-count box crayons or colored pencils
• 4 glue sticks
• 1 small, cloth pencil case
• 3 black, marble copybooks (no spiral), labeled "Reading," "Writing," and "Classwork"
• 2 yellow 2-pocket folders labeled "Homework"
• 1 red 2-pocket folder labeled "Reading"
• 1 blue 2-pocket folder labeled "Spelling"
• 2 green 2-pocket folders labeled "Writing"
• 1 purple 2-pocket folder labeled "Tests"
• 2 black dry erase markers with eraser
• disinfecting wipes
• paper towels
• tissues
• hand sanitizer and/or antibacterial liquid soap

Hard copies of this list will be sent home with each child at the end of the year.

First Grade Trip

The First Graders are going on their 1st trip to Zellerbach theater to see a show about Flat Stanley on October 3, 2008. They will return to school by lunch time so they will not need to bring anything with them on the trip.

This is the official blog for Meredith's Class of 2016, starting first grade in the fall of 2008.

Supplies for first grade (rooms 107 and 108)

Backpack

• 5 marble composition books (wide-rule lined): Please label each with your child’s name and these titles: Author Book, Word Work, Science Notebook, Morning Work, and leave one blank;
• 4 two-pocket folders;
• 1 dozen sharpened pencils;
• 1 eraser;
• 1 box of crayons (no more than 24);
• 3 glue sticks;
• 1 pencil case (or pencil box) to hold supplies (small enough to fit in desk);
• 1 box of tissues;
• 2- 4 dry erase markers;
• 1 clean sock (to be used as an eraser for wipe- off boards).

No pencil sharpeners or scissors please! Please put your child’s name on all supplies!

We are asking for donations of the following items to be shared by the class throughout the year. Please send in one or two items below. Thank you!

• Hand sanitizer;
• Baby wipes/wet wipes;
• Clorox wipes (or any other brand);
• Ziploc bags (any size);
• Paper towels.
